PHP, CSS, HTML, and WordPress fun!

Steve

Since I’m really into computers, and I also have an interest in pretty, shiny computer graphics, I thought it would be fun to try and create my own WordPress theme! I’ve been looking at some of the online documentation these past few days, and it looks like it is surprisingly feasible to do. It turns out that WordPress is built on PHP, and creating a theme doesn’t require learning apropietary programming language or anything like that. WordPress is built off of the standards – CSS, HTML, and PHP! Very cool!

I tend to have a bunch of random graphics lying around my computer that I started making once when I had nothing to do, but never really used because I didn’t have a specific use for them. But now that I have a blog, I can put them to use! For example, I found the following image on my computer:

It’s a picture of clouds that’s heavily photoshopped. Why not use this as the background to a blog? So I did! I’m still working on the theme, so if you have any ideas, let me know!
